Dr Bassett worked in rural mixed practices in NSW before moving to Melbourne in late 2000 to do a residency in Dermatology at the Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre. She gained her Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Canine Medicine in 2002 and Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Veterinary Dermatology in 2005. Dr Bassett works at the Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre, in the Dermatology department (Animal Skin and Ears Specialists). We are a large dermatology department with 4 specialist dermatologists (the only specialist veterinary dermatologists in Victoria), a dermatology intern and 8 fantastic highly trained veterinary dermatology nurses.
